Ptah, creator-god and maker of things, was a patron of craftsmen, especially sculptors; his high priest was called the chief controller of craftsmen.

He is the sacred dwarf that gives form to the formless and reads the instruction manual of all things.

I have always been fascinated by the Egyptians’ connection with a god that was supposedly “deformed.”
