Another in my series of new gods. This is the vulture of the underworld. He brings the bodies of the deceased down into the vaulted chambers of Xibalba where they learn to live again. He is seen as a menace, as a reminder of mortality and decay, but if you learn that his welcoming hands are there to lift you up it is easier to relinquish your hold on this sphere.
