You should never be too proud as there is always someone out there who’s smarter, craftier, and more successful than you waiting to knock you down a peg.

What we forget is that the corollary is also true. No matter how low you think you’ve plummeted into the proverbial pit, there is always a bunch of climbers looking up at you with envy.

Bleargh is the personification of this. He is the Zamboni machine of the underworld. A foul, gaping mouth of razor-sharp blades waiting to consume the poor souls cast down into Xibalba who forget to realize that there is always more you could be doing.

He is the Patron Taint of self-improvement, or else.
